26 Mar How to Style Black on Black
On this post I’m giving a few tips on how to style black on black! Black is a personal favorite especially when it’s done right. Here’s a few tips to do it right!
1. Wear “interesting” pieces: basically, don’t be basic (unless you want to be). For example I picked this graphic tee with fringe details on the sleeve to add a little extra to the fit.
2. Accessorize: people say black is boring and it could be if you let it. That is why you need the accessories to add to the outfit. For this outfit, I added a hat, belt, earring & neck pieces & a mini bag. Boring what?
3. Mix Textures: especially when you’re wearing a two – three piece outfit as opposed to one piece (a dress, for example).
Wearing a two of three piece outfit gives you the chance to mix textures when creating the outfit. Mix silk & cotton, linen & interlock, velvet & chiffon, fringes & organza, fur & denim.
Basically the idea is to have different textures going on to create a more interesting look. However, do it tastefully.
4. A pop of color doesn’t hurt: A pop of color could be in terms of accessories. A bag, belt or shoes even. It can also be incorporated in the clothing itself (for example the graphic art on the tee pops)
This makes the black on black outfit more interesting to the eye and gets your attention.

P.s my shirt looks kinda blue but that’s because of the editing & it’s a blue toned black tee.
