21 Dec 3 Important Lessons from 2018!
The year is rounding up and your girl has been doing a lot of reflection. It’s been a year of growth. Sweet, beautiful, painful, growth!
Definitely haven’t ticked off every goal; I gave up on some, procrastinated on others, but most importantly, I did a lot! There’s still a few days to go and then forever , so we all have enough time. Can we all stop beating ourselves up? okurrr?
Recently I was reading a book and an excerpt from it says
“God has the perfect timing. It is highly possible that by not being where you thought you should be, you’d end up where you’re meant to be”
It was one of those finger snapping moments for me. I immediately saw how this quote has played out in my life especially this year. I berated myself a lot about not being where I should and not achieving what I should have. I have realized dear brethren , that you and I are exactly where we should be and everything will fall into place in due time. All we gotta do is trust God, be patient, enjoy the journey and keep grinding.
“Without purpose, life is meaningless”
During the last quarter of the year, I had a little hiatus where I kept asking myself, ‘what really is the point of being here?’
I thought, “we live, we try to do the right things, achieves things, leave a mark and then we all still die”.
The first line of this lesson was God’s response to me. And then he said, “without God, life is meaningless too”.
God is the creator, he made every single one of us for a reason and they only way to find the purpose for which we were made is through God.
Living without knowing what you’re here for is like running without direction or destination. A waste of time and energy.
This made me recommit myself to focusing and giving more time to the things to which God has called me for.
Because last last, we will all die or rapture and the question will be “did you do that for which you were born? What did you do with all that you were given?” It won’t be me that will start stammering.
“Little things add up to big things”
I read a book title “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy and I’d say it one of the most impactful books I’ve read this year.
It’s not that any of the concepts he explains are new per se, it’s the way he broke it down and passed his message across.
I learnt that changing your life is about the things that you do everyday. If you can change your daily habits, you can change your life. And as easy as it sounds, changing or picking up a new habit is not easy but it could be the most life changing thing you do.
You make your daily choices and then those choices make you.
-Make the most of what you have!
I wanted to style this look with boots but I don’t own a pair of boots yet so I simply wore my dark colored socks and a dark pair of court shoes and there you have it!
– Scarves/Bandanas can immediately add character to your look! I promise, it didn’t look with badass without the bandana.

Until Next time,
